this morning as i made levi his favorite breakfast: "BUTTER WAFFLE", he said he wants to get a SUPER LONG stick of butter and then put a stick through it, like a lolly pop! then he said we could stick blueberries to it. man, the kiddo LOVES butter!!!
at 6:00 am i awoke up to the sound of one of the chickens BAWKING really loudly. then heard joshua go out to check. he said the grey STRAY CAT that levi calls "SOCKS" had hopped the gate and was checking out the chickens. after researching online, joshua found that if the chicken is over 11 months old, it should be too big for a cat to get. the chicken will go after and peck the cat instead. joshua said he remembered casey, a teacher friend, saying he raised chickens in the coronadao district, where there were tons of stray cats, and non ever hurt any of his chickens. FINGERS CROSSED!

they were all over his arms, face, neck, and legs. apparently, his p-jam shirt and short spared those parts of his body that they covered.
fortunately, going to LOOK FOR our 1st EGGS cheered him up!
