pickin' corn.

monday, july 5, 2010. we spent the day at grandma erm's house. denise came over and mentioned a farmer posted in the paper that he had free sweetcorn for the pickin'. so we packed up the boys and headed out with aunt denise. grandma stayed behind to make supper.

levi belted himself in. we only had to drive about a 1/4 mile to get there.

abraham in nothing but undies. he had a pee pee accident. i didn't have an extra shirt and we put his extra shorts on when we got to the corn.

through the window you can see the sweet corn on the left and the field corn on the right. you don't want to eat field corn.

aunt denise said the farmer said we could shuck them on the spot and leave the debris for compost.

wednesday, june 23, 2010. joshua and i were talking about packing for our trip to illinois. 10 minutes later levi comes out with his backpack packed full of goodies and proceeds to show us what all he is taking with him.

so cute. levi wanted to bring an airplane!

mr. and mrs. clause. (so they can enjoy a little cooler weather perhaps?)

abe was just as excited about the stash. both boys are excited to see grandma erm!!!

abraham climbed up on some books in front of his bookcase (we have so many they are overflowing off the shelves.) and he got into a no no drawer that had old party hats. so at one point all four of us had party hats on and were singing happy birthday to abey:)

papa making toy repairs. he hot glue gunned this guys leg back on.

papa gave levi a watermelon bowl. he has to scoop it out.

the day started out ok.

tuesday. june 22, 2010. the day started out ok considering  joshua and i are totally sick and in "all i want to do is veg mode". papa spent most of the day on the couch watching movies, which for him is actually torture, and i caught up on my blogging. the boys spent a lot of time playing together. the day started out ok, but shortly after the last picture, abe fell off the arm of the couch flat on his face. it was pretty stressful after that with 24 hour monitoring. i'm gonna blog about it seperately.

then said ahhhhhh. grapes!!! from the garden.

the recycle truck came late today so the boys got to watch. it used to be part of our weekly routine, but then they switched to like 6 am, so we miss it:(

i love the blur and the pure joy on levi's face.

not flattering of me, but this is what we were doing:) i'm so scared.

i love how kids tell you what they are going to do before they do it and tell you how you are supposed to react. like when they hide and tell you where they're hiding and hide there over and over.

about this time the boys and papa started horsing around a bit. then papa went back to resting and the boys continued. that's when abe fell!!!
