joshua leaving for spokane, washington.

wednesday, november 3, 2010.
dropping joshua off at sky harbor airport.

joshua took the incredible opportunity of attending the orff national conference this year, which was held in spokane washington. he is the "president elect" of the AOSA (arizona orff schulwerk assosiation) which pays for the president to attend the conference and their airfare to get there, but this years president passed the money along to joshua because her "private" school was paying for her to go. then the madison school district was kind enough to pay for his hotel. so, the only thing he had to pay for was food! SWEET!!!

meanwhile, the boys and i continued our life as usual...
you can never have too much ear protection;)
or too much dancing:)
hippity hopping.
so gonna be folk dancers like their parents!

the original video was shot on august 16, 2009. i posted it on my facebook page and occasionally click on it to relive the moment. at one point today, i brought the boys in from outside to give the chickens a break from abraham. the boys were playing and i hoped online for a moment. i showed them this video and they were cracking up. levi said he wanted me to put that song on again. so i did and now have the boys dancing to the same song a year and one month later!!! total cuteness times two:)

mike had called earlier in the evening to invite us over for dinner and let the kiddos run around with kylie for a while. we already ate and had some stuff to finish up around the house, so we went over a little later. their good friend tim was over as well. we know him as "woody" because that is what he was dressed up as when came to our house for halloween:) unfortunately, anita wasn't feeling well. she went right to bed to crash! as the evening progressed, we chit chatted while sipping wine. then mike turned on the tunes. we decided it was a little too loud for anita so we tucked kylie into bed and took the party to our house. tons of dancing and silliness ensued. i think the boys think we are crazy, but they danced right along with us. we called it quits at midnight!!!

dancing: just a typical morning in the block home.
joshua brought some random stuff home from his classroom. the boys got into the bag and found this long wired ribbon inside.
the boys just danced with it for like a half hour!!!
it caused a few spills...
...but it was worth it for the fun.

a little rock and roll. we plugged the guitar into the stereo speakers. the boys took turns rockin' out on their electric guitar.
levi cranking it. the stereo now reads: maximum volume.
quite the little duo.
papa took the boys to the children's museum as a sort of last hurrah before school starts back up again tomorrow. it's been awesome having joshua all to ourselves for the last two months. the boys and i are gonna miss having him around!
