found mold growing under the tray feeder in the girls coop. won't be using that anymore. all this in one day!

levi is such a reader. he did this in yarnell too. he'd play with the boys some, then take a reading break, then play, then read. i love it because i was never a reader and wish i had been.

during piano i took levi and abey to the huge halloween store in the old DSW shoes building. i wanted to see if abe would be able to solidify what he wanted to be if he saw all of them together. but alas, they only had buzz lightyear there. they were out of woody and had no crocodile costumes, so it was a bust. those are the three things he talks about being and he changes between them every couple of days. then as we were just checking out what else they had, we found a train conductor costume. abe decided he wanted to be one too, put the costume on his arm, and started to make his way to the front of the store. unfortunately, it was size 3/4T. i thought levi could where it, but levi's old one would still be huge on abe. then i thought the boys might fight over who gets to pull the train while trick or treating and on and on my mind went. anyway, we put it back. i will continue to ask him at random, but i'm sure he'd be happy with any of them:)

we love the boxes from costco.

levi turned this one into a puppy/horse house.

sometimes abraham pretends to be a horse, but here he is a puppy trying to escape!

levi came running inside to ask if i could give him a push on the glider. when i went out i couldn't believe what i saw...levi got abraham into his swing all by himself. he put the little walker toy underneath the swing like a step stool. abraham climbed up on it and somehow levi lifted him into the seat!?! he even locked the tray in place.

abraham showing me his super funny kicks. a family gave us a whole bunch of gently used kids shoes. abraham thought the "work boots" were awesome. they look just like papas work boots!

reading time. at some point everyday, and usually several times a day, the boys hop on the couch and read books. i love it!!!

abraham is now wearing the furry "ugg-like" boots that levi had on earlier. abraham also has a thing for putting socks on his hands. usually papas old sock awaiting to make it to the laundry. funny, but kinda icky at the same time:)

levi looks soooooo long here. i love that he loves to read:)))

sunday, july 11, 2010. after church g'ma erm, andy and shelisa came over to u. ralph and a. mic's house for lunch. then we went to watch andy's baseball game at a park in onarga. on the way back home we stopped off at various farms to check out all of ralphy's farm equipment.

wednesday, july 7, 2010. woo hoo, we're going on a ROAD TRIP. we packed up the r.v. and headed south west to LAKE SHELBYVILLE. the trip would normally take 2 1/2 hours, but we had to stop and do some grocery shopping at meijers. then we got some lunch at taco bell and mc. d's. today we just hung out at the camp site. the boys got to make some new friends, as well as, play with old friends they made last year. this particular group of campers have camping down to a science. the have a meeting before they leave and come up with a meal plan, who brings what, etc. the weather was more humid than we are used to, but there was plenty of shade at our site. we ended the night with sparklers instead of a campfire.
