carmi had the awesome idea of taking book club north to her father's cabin in flagstaff. however, no book had ever been decided upon, so it was more like a girls weekend getaway. a time for us all to get together and gab, eat out, shop (though i was good to our budget and refrained from purchasing anything), and sleep in late! unfortunately, not all members of book club could come up this particular weekend. i sure as heck am glad i was free!!! big props to the block's for watching the boys since joshua was in spokane, washington. and HUGE thanks to carmi for the invitation:)))

after dinner we headed to the cabin and just stayed in talking while sipping vino by the fire. by the time we went to bed, around 1:30 am, it was 31 degrees outside!!!
*on our way up, we got pulled over by a cop in a total speed trap, but luckily he let us go. he took pity on five lovely ladies looking to leave phoenix and our families for some much needed girl time. hahaha.*
