I wanted to keep Levi home today because he is still having to blow is poor stuffy a bunch and he was nervous about it. He so should have gone to school though. He had so much energy and I had to be referee between he an Abe all day. Not really used to that anymore;)

Levi and Papa both stayed home from school sick again today. Levi's fever had broke last night, but he wouldn't be 24 hours fever free, per school policy, before school started today...more like 12. So, I emailed Mrs Weflen and asked if I could bring Levi to school just to meet up with his class for the "class photo". Fortunately she said YES!!! I would have been so bummed if he couldn't. We basically just watched movies all day again today:) I like having us all in the house all cozy together. Makes being sick a little more tolerable.

Papa and Levi stayed home from school sick today. We all just watched movies all day. I'm starting to feel a soar throat coming on, but may just be psychosomatic;)

Levi had a fever before bed...so no school tomorrow! Papa isn't feeling well either:(

friday, june 25, 2010. carl came and got the boys at 8:30 am. joshua was at ASU for his class. so, i was able to pack all but joshua's bag. then it was off to CLEANING our home which had become a DISASTER ZONE with all the sick, "i'm not leaving the couch," business. it was so bad that i was up until 2:15 am and it was still not to my liking. joshua got home at about 6:30 pm and had a ton to do outside to get it ready. the boys came home at 8:30 pm. audrey had mentioned that levi hadn't been hearing well all day. i said i had noticed that the day before, but ultimately chalked it up to his not wanting to hear me intentionally. (ie. selective hearing) she thought the same thing at 1st, but realized, as she's standing 2 feet away, HE JUST PLAIN CAN'T HEAR. i so PANICKED because we were getting on a plane in a matter of hours. i hopped online to look up urgent cares, but we were a half hour too late. they all closed a 8:00 pm. luckily carl called phoenix baptist's emergency room and asked if they new of a place open later. the suggested looking up GOOD NIGHT PEDIATRICS. sure enough they were open until 5:00 am. so, at 10:30 pm levi and i were on the road and by 11:30 we picked up his PRESCRIPTION at walgreens. they dosed him with motrin before we left and said to give him more and hour before we take off so his ears wouldn't hurt too much!!! another little set back was that abe had napped from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. so, when he got home he was ready to party or be held which doesn't make it easy to do what ya gotta do. joshua and abe went to bed at 1:30ish am and i went to bed at 2:15 only to be awakened by levi at 2:30. he hopped into bed with us. then the alarm went off at 3:00 am. it was time to get going again. nice little cat nap. ha.

we actually didn't end up using all these. can you believe it?!!! the block's aren't known to pack light:)

thursday, june 17, 2010. just trying to take it easy. this whole being sick thing sucks! i've got it pretty bad now too. super soar throat. eyes pale pink. the kids keep playing like it doesn't bother them. it only looks bad in the morning when i have to spend 10 minutes per kid with a warm wash cloth trying to pry their eyes back open. we also had to cancel our trip with the duff's to their cabin. so bummed, but definitely don't think this is clearing up any time soon:(

when levi wakes up and his eyes are stuck together he freaks out...

abe, however still wakes up smiling. he is such a morning person, like his papa.

abe's really into stickers. he tells me what color frog or lizard he's putting on me. he's gettin real good with colors.

abe was asleep on the couch. levi told me to get the camera. he got on the couch and gave abe a hug!

tuesday, june 15, 2010. the block boys are sickly yet again. i noticed abe's eyes were looking a little pink yesterday, so i had called in for eye drops. the nurse suggested we come in, given abraham's history with recurrent ear infections. the eye goop i was describing was questionable. i set his appoint. then when the boys woke up this morning, both kiddos eyes were crusted shut:((( luckily they were able to see levi too. abe has another confirmed ear infection, but she thinks their pink eye is viral. she said she has seen numerous children this week with the same symptoms. she gave abe an antibiotic and levi drop just in case.

wednesday, june 2 and friday, june 4, 2010. while abe was getting better, it was LEVI'S turn to start PUKING! then the next night it was papa's. Somehow, i'm the only one who never threw up. though my stomach let me know it was unhappy in another way. (TMI i know, but it's my journal:) despite hating being sick, i loved having the four of us together in close quarters. just cuddling and napping to feel better.
