we wont be seeing this face any more!

i think the actual day was june 21, 2010. it was bed time and abe had lost the one he had all day. several others were MIA throughout the house and outside. the only one he had left was one that had a hole bitten out of it. i should have thrown it in the trash instead of putting it on the paci shelf, but i'm glad now that i didn't. it gave perfect opportunity to explain that we lost all his other paci's and the only one we had left was BROKEN. i showed him were he broke it. it was the same scenario we used with levi right before he turned two. levi was watching a movie with joshua and i when all of a sudden he bit through his paci and showed it to us. we took that opportunity to put an end to the pacifier forever. it worked just as well the second time around!!! he cried for about 5 minutes and fell asleep. not too bad. he asked for it the next couple nights as well, but ultimately went to sleep without it. on the 3rd days after no paci's levi found 2 under abraham's crib. he washed them and gave them to me. abraham was chasing him wanting one. i took them and distracted abe. potential relapse avoided:) the worst was at his doctors appointment on thursday the 24th, when he got a shot! i always gave him his paci after a shot. but, again, about 5 minutes of crying and it was over. it's now been over a week and he's only asked for it maybe three times. YAY!!! having to keep track of the paci was always so STRESSFUL! now i can't wait until the sippy cups go bye bye!!!
