wednesday, july 28, 2010. LEVI STAYED THE NIGHT at g'pa and g'ma battaglia's house last night and was going with maaa... bright and early this morning to go see espen in scottsdale. the weather is so much nicer here in yarnell, usually 17 DEGREES COOLER THAN PHOENIX, we decided to try and spend more time outside. we took abraham to yarnell's little PARK.

didn't seem like it was gonna stop raining any time soon, so we booked it to the car. we all got SOAKED!

we stripped abe when we got back. then we watched MOVIES. abe watched nemo. papa and i watched CADILLAC RECORDS.

after the movies were over we decided to head back outside. as we were getting ready, papa and abraham were messing around on the futon downstairs. abraham lost his balance and CRASHED into it's wood arm and CUT HIS EYELID, just under his eyebrow!!!

we took him to an URGENT CARE in sun city.

the nurse gave him a lolly pop after she took his band-aid off. then the doctor came in and pulled the cut open. ugh! he said it didn't cut through three layers of skin so he didn't think stitches were necessary. apparently we'd have to go to the e.r. for that anyway because they don't sedate two year old in urgent care. he just put 2 STERI-STRIPS on it. abe was awesome and just let the doctor do his thang.

then we headed to a store to pick up diapers to drop off for levi. he and espen wanted to stay in wickenburg instead of come up to yarnell. when we got home abraham watched the jungle book and joshua and i watched DEFIANCE.

tuesday/wednesday, july 13/14, 2010. last night g'ma erm and i were sitting on the porch chit chatting while uncle randy took joshua and the boys for a ride in his golf cart. i felt a MOSQUITO BITE me. g'ma erm asked if i wanted to go inside, but i said no. i wanted to wait it out until the boys came back. bad idea. i felt myself get bit again, so we headed in. my big toe started to itch that night and became a WELT about the size of a quarter. the next morning it looked like this:

an hour later i was online researching mosquito and spider bites. my foot was SWELLING, turning RED, and HOT to the touch! those symptoms lead to cellulitis and in true hypochondriac form, i called the DOCTOR.

12:27 pm

my appointment wasn't until 3:30. i marked an outline in pen to see if it would get worse. in the 3 hour wait it only got about a centimeter bigger.

by 10:13 pm it looked like this. it was HUGE!!! this, however, is what both my feet looked like when i was prego. so painful to walk on because my skin was being stretched white.

at 8:45 am the next morning it was still so not my foot.

the doctor was concerned about the way the redness looked around the big toe and the dip in my skin where an old bite was healing. she was also worried about how hot it felt! to be safe she put me on an oral antibiotic to fight any possible INFECTION. i was more than happy to take the meds after all the reseach i had done and pics of infection out of control!

* a few days have passed now and my foot is one it way to looking normal again. YAY!

abraham and i got little sleep last night:((( he could barely breath and kept waking up coughing, tossing, and turning. no fun. we're gonna get to the bottom of this today!

eating fruit loops. (aunt mic let levi pick out his own cereal at the grocery store yesterday. hahaha).

all done. total sinus infection. she's giving him an antibiotic he's never had before in case he's built up a resistance to all the others he's been prescribed.

we ate at a yummy mexican resturant. after lunch the boys got ring pops.

this guy was in the middle of the road with his extended parts down, but he pulled them up and pulled over to let us pass. we are on a total "country" road, as they call it around here.

we headed over to benji's for a cook out. we hung out in their new garage. and the rest of their new addition is incredible inside!
