so last week i started finally dumping pictures from my poor computer. since i don't have any photos actually printed i've been super duper nervous about something happening to the files. so before i hit delete and removing them from my computer forever, i make sure they are backed up on two external hard drives, dvd's, which will stay at my parents house, and posted to flickr.com. i've set them to private on flickr since they are so old and unedited of blurs, closed eyes, and photos that should have just plain been deleted, but i just couldn't. like my title points out, i have some sort of photo taking illness. one of the most freeing times in my life was when my first digital camera was accidentally dropped and broke. i had no camera for months and realized not every moment needs to be captured. i'm sure my boys and hubby were happy to not always be asked to smile. when i finally bought my current camera over two years ago, i started out being more selective with my photos, but that didn't last long. i'm now back in take a gazillion pictures mode.
check out the lower left corner of this photo. 38,950 photos since january 2009.i ran out of room on my computers internal hard drive, so i couldn't upload anymore. it was the day i was dreading, but have just been backing up and then removing a couple hundred everyday. i feel better knowing they are in several places, just in case something happens to one source.
