last day at lizzie's and the drive to cissna park.

monday, june 28, 2010. aunt mic came to eureka to take lizzie and elle to lizzie's sonogram appointment. brian had a conference call for work and jack napped. joshua and i were going to try to get the boys to nap with us, but levi wasn't tired. he wanted to watch a movie. he picked out toy story 2. none of us block's had seen it, so we watched it instead. then it was off the cissna park, fishys and all.
joshua snapped a pick of me being DOMESTIC. basically making fun of me because you don't see this very often at home.
aunt mic and all the kids PILED into the tent!
a good look, huh?
excited to be watching TOY STORY 2.
couch potatoes:)
lizzie and brian's gorgeous home.
chit chatting about their future landscape plans.
love the OLD cemeteries.
moody skies...out the window of the car.
HUGE tree.
the fish rode in the back with me and the boys. yes i brought my favorite shoes!
sleeper.
blurry, but levi is just singing his heart out. some made up song.
looking stormish.
a huge fluffy SHEEP cloud. quite fitting while driving through farm country.
tried to get a close up shot.
more gorgeous moodiness.
levi finally CRASHED. he wanted to stay up to see g'ma erm, but i promised i'd wake him when we got there. it's about an hour and a half drive.
this is on the way. aunt mic stopped to show joshua. he loved it of course.
huge FARM EQUIPMENT on the left!!! that thing could straddle a car.
seriously, how cute is this. all 7 BIKES have lights around the wheels that make them look like they are spinning at night. the man who lives there will fix your bike for free.

father's day, the boys 1st in theatre movie, and cold stone creamery.

sunday, june 20, 2010. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to joshua, father extraordinaire. i  knew marrying a man that chooses to teach as a profession has to love kids and has tons of patience. our children are so blessed to have him! papa, unfortunately, woke up the newest sickly member of our family:( it didn't stop him from hitting the railroad tracks before the boys and i woke up though. we played it pretty mellow. papa took a nice midday nap. we ate some din and then headed to the esplanade for the 5:15 pm showing of TOY STORY 3. we own and the boys love the original toy story, but we have yet to see the 2nd. this was the boys 1st MOVIE in THEATRE!!!  we knew levi would think the "big screen" would be awesome, but were worried because if there is anything dark in a movie at home he asks us to fast forward. no fast forwarding possible here. so, in the parts that were a little scary he just clung to my arm and i talked to him about what i thought was happening and how it would be ok. we thought abe's ATTENTION SPAN would last the whole movie because it was all new and exciting and at home he can sit through some of our longer kids movies. however, he got a little restless about half way through. he tried to escape, but i just sat him on my lap. he tried to escape one more time and then just settled as i rocked him. abe was SUCH A HOOT!!! for the first half he was standing on his seat leaning on joshua. he would shout things he was seeing on screen or bust out laughing. he was definitely "BRINGING HIS OWN SOUNDTRACK." but we could hear other kids doing the same thing. once the credits started to roll, levi realized he had to go potty. so, we made a mad dash for the restrooms and then headed out to get ice cream. there used to be a cold stone down below, but it was gone. we hit the one one 20th street instead. all in all, it was a wonderful night with a wonderful man and father!
accidental choke hold.
watching a youtube video of a kid with crazy dance moves!
and eating chips.
waiting for the movie to start.
after a ton of trailers...yay!
lil buddies.
happy father's day!
see ya abe.
abraham wanted to do the escalators. levi didn't want to. he was afraid he was gonna step on two at once and fall.
so i ordered watermelon sorbet and we got abe a chocolate chip ice cream sandwich thinking he would think it was awesome. not so much. he only wanted my watermelon. it's that good. haha! i got stuck with the chocolate, which would normally be ok, but i just wasn't feelin' it.
levi got the blue cotton candy. he wanted gummy bears mixed it, but i was afraid they'd be too hard to eat it they were cold. he got rainbow sprinkles instead.
now papa got the best one of us all. he got some apple dumpling thing you have to wait 5 minutes for.
num.
slurp.
