thursday, may 27, 2010. so today i had planned on taking levi to the arizona science center because we had two free passes, but when we got down there i realized i had no change for the metered parking and all the parking garages near by wanted $10 bucks for "event" parking only. i was bummed. luckily the passes are good 'til may 31st, so i'm planning on taking him sunday. however, our neighborhood is having a huge memorial day party saturday night, so i'm not sure how i'll be feeling the next morning;;) anyway, we ended up going to the CHILDREN'S MUSEUM instead. levi and i hadn't had ONE ON ONE TIME in ages! i believe the last time was a couple months after abraham was born. so, that's at least over a year and a half!!! as i write this and reflect on the day i feel like i've been neglecting him in some way
:((( maybe this whole journal thing is going to to help put things in PERSPECTIVE. (i.e. my time with levi as a 4 year old is flying by and i need to spend more time FOCUSING on just him once in a while!)

it's steeper than it looks. i don't recommend flip flops. i was full on sliding, but there are tiny feet grips to help you "walk".

after the potty break i told levi i couldn't do the climber anymore. it's quite the work out...my legs were sore and i was overheating! i asked him if he wanted to go somewhere else or go on the climber alone. he said he wanted to CLIMB ALONE. i was FLOORED! levi is in the cage in the middle of the photo.

we LOVE this room. we had never been in here before. it's all about building FORTS. they have all kinds of cushions, fabrics, crates, and objects to manipulate.
so bummed my camera battery died after this picture and i forgot that my new phone takes photos. levi made a really cool fort out of 6 of these u shaped cushion (making 3 o's)
for a bigger tunnel. then he barricaded both ends with shoe horses, cushions and a basket. he entered it by lifting and then lowering back down one of the u cushions. he just laid inside. then right before they closed, the guy working the room and i built a structure out of black foam around levi that he had to BUST out of! it was HILARIOUS!!! wish i had video!
after the museum, we stopped off at MC ALPINE'S for dinner and ice cream.
