one year and one month of folk dancing.

thursday, september 30, 2010.
man, i wish i could folk dance all the time. i'm always so giddy, manic really, when we're done and i forget all the troubles of the day. it's been over a year now since joshua and i started going to the PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL FOLK DANCE classes and it is seriously the best thing we decided to do as a couple, besides bearing two incredible children. we are really starting to pick up new dances more quickly and the more challenging the dance, the more i love it. wish it was offered five days a week.

play date with charlie man, making muffins, watching espen.

wednesday, september 29, 2010.
we invited charlie over for a play date. a good bye hug from levi.
and from abeyham.
today's egg basket. this time he used a pretty green metal one. he lined it with wood chips too.
two more nummy eggs. the girls are such good producers.
i read that road island reds can lay between 200 and 280 eggs a year making them on of the highest producing laying hens.
levi showing abe the eggs. abraham's in time out.
cuteness.
little chicken lover.
hugs.
levi about to help me make banana nut muffins.
this is what i saw out the window while we were making the muffins...abraham just walking around with a chicken.
not quite sure where he's going.
ta da. muffins!
lity was such a good helper.
giving the chickens some muffin.
abraham offering them his whole muffin. he didn't care for it. in all honesty, they were a little dry. i over baked them. still haven't figured out the whole convection feature of my stove and how to make adjustments for it.
so shiney.
christine asked if we could watch espen so she could meet with a buyer. abe immediately grabbed a chicken as soon as i brought espen to the backyard. espen didn't want to pet her at first.
then he touched her and said she was soft and felt like a stuffed animal.
four cuties.
espen bought over bubbles to share.
woo hoo!
blowing.
nemo ruffling her feathers.
they all have weapons.
 glass flower.
abraham in time out.
my man.
espen hard at work.
abey dismantling my man.
espen's sculpture.
espen's creation looked like a bouncy obstacle course.
abraham's cake.
my owl.

egg basket. first dozen. g'pa and g'ma batt visit. levi ties knots!

tuesday, september 28, 2010.
last night we were reading in one of our chicken keeping books. in the section about eggs there was a sketch of an egg basket. levi asked what it was and i told him that it is useful in helping collect eggs when you have lots of chickens. this morning, sheriff levi comes in with this...his own egg basket! he's so cute.
two more eggs.
a dozen fresh eggs.
yay! grandpa's here!!!
copying levi.
the boys were so looking forward to go alley romping in the trailer.
abraham brought a wagon with him.
hanging on as we round the corner into the alley.
fun bumpy and fun!
alley romping pro.
seasoned romper.
levi is totally starting to tie super good knots. he taught himself.
little finger, little knot.
the boys fell asleep on me like this. i have to sit in the middle while reading books before bed because they love to fight over their legs touching each other.
now mama can go to sleep:)

wow...no pics.

wow... no pics. makes for an easy blogging day.

joshua and i dropped my car off at camelback garage last night. joshua got the call right as he was leaving for work this morning that it would be about $800.00, before taxes. he asked me if that was ok, and being half asleep, i agreed. when i fully awoke, i started to panic. i called the guy back and asked if they could hold off. i wanted to call around and get other estimates. i went threw my honda folder and found an estimate for even more money from a different mechanic my dad took it to last year, so i called the guy back and said he could go for it. thankfully, since it's still in the 100's and showing no signs of cooling down, my car was done by the end of the day. i'm hoping this whole being beat down financially only comes in threes, kinda like celebrity deaths. if that were the case, our three hits would be up. then we shouldn't have to worry about anything else breaking for a while;) considering i've had my car for 12 years, and got her when she was 4 years old, she's been a trooper. especially, considering we do no routine maintenance. i often find myself giving her a pat on the dash and thanking God for her and her reliability as i'm driving.
