my maaa... came down today to pick up the boys and take them to stay with her and poppy in yarnell until saturday! the blocks were going out of town and weren't able to watch the boys for folk dance tonight. i didn't want to miss it because bill and karen faust were coming up from tuscon and teaching the first hour. then we were going to go over some bulgarian dances that we could do when kabile, a bulgarian wedding band, comes to town on november 2. luckily, ma agreed. turned out the gosple claws were having their cd release party the same night. they were to start at 10:20pm, though ended up starting much later, at sail inn. so we left dance 10 minutes early and headed over. they were awesome...so glad we could do both!
once the boys were gone joshua and i went on a spontaneous bike ride.
bikin' in the bike lane.
following joshua through super cute neighborhoods i'd never seen.
and, of course, our course followed a bulk trash route;)
looking for pieces with possibilities.
when we got back we found the girls dust bathing.
nems.
then it was time to cut joshua's hair. (before)
before.
after.
whenever i cut joshua's hair i always think of the song "hallelujah" that was written by leonard cohen and covered so amazingly by jeff buckley.
"she tied you to her kitchen chair
and she broke your throne and she cut your hair
and from your lips she drew the hallelujah
hallelujah"
